Identifying clonal rearrangements of the immunoglobulin heavy chain (IGH) gene
- Assessing the extent of somatic hypermutation (SHM) in the variable (VH) gene sequence (IGHV) in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL)
- Evaluating new research and methods in malignancy studies

ABI Fluorescence Detection is done using ABI 310, 3100 & 3130 instruments.
Due to instrument to instrument variation in the performance of the ABI 3500 platform, the amount of formamide, sample, and size standard listed in the protocol is intended to be a starting point. The protocol may need to be optimized for specific ABI 3500 Platforms.
