Cytogenetics Systems
Cytogenetics is a branch of hereditary qualities but at the same time is a part of cell biology/cytology (a development of human life systems), which is concerned about how the chromosomes correlate with cell behaviour, especially to their conduct during mitosis and meiosis. The chromosome content, called a karyotype, is an arrangement based on both chromosome number and morphology, which are fixed attributes for a specific category. Hypothetically, it is conceivable to plan chromosome samples beginning from any tissue (or suspension of mitotic cells) giving that suitable strategies are utilized for the kind of cell to be examined. The focus of two large areas of diagnostic investigation for identification and characterization of either constitutional or acquired chromosome abnormalities.
It has been generally found that the nature of sample arrangements for chromosome analysis relies to a great extent upon the environmental conditions where the final evaporation of the fixative generally takes place. The consolidated impacts of temperature and relative humidity noticeably affect the quality of the metaphase. Given that temperature and humidity can vary drastically across seasons, it is not difficult to get the prerequisite for a system that enables cytogeneticists to work consistently under standardized conditions.
DSS offers instruments like Autochrome, Hanabi PI, Opti Chrome Plus and Quick Chrome that optimize the quality of chromosome preparations obtained from cytotrophoblastic cells of chorionic villi samples (CVS) prepared by “direct procedure”, through the homogeneous dispensation of the sample on the slides.
