abberior MOUNT - perfect embedding - abberior MOUNT embedding media are high-quality embedding solutions with a refractive index of around 1.38, optimized for imaging applications. These media are designed for ease of use and deliver excellent results in imaging clarity and consistency. Please note that the refractive index may vary slightly over time due to water evaporation and the polymerization process within the medium.
abberior TDE - perfect index matching - abberior TDE mounting media are advanced embedding solutions based on 2,2′-thiodiethanol, offering refractive indices in the range of 1.408 to 1.518. These media provide a high-performance alternative to traditional aqueous embedding media, particularly suited for specialized microscopy applications.
For sophisticated imaging techniques like 4Pi microscopy, 3D STED microscopy, and isoSTED microscopy, abberior TDE mounting media ensure optimal image quality. They achieve this by delivering a stable refractive index that precisely matches immersion oil, offering consistent clarity and precision over time, making them ideal for demanding applications that require superior optical stability.

Ready-to-Image Alignment Sets - abberior ALIGNMENT SETS simplify the calibration and testing of fluorescence microscopes. Each set includes multiple microscope slides pre-prepared with nanoparticles or cell specimens, allowing for immediate imaging and precise adjustments.
Always in perfect shape - abberior Alignment Sets are designed to facilitate precise testing and calibration of fluorescence microscopes. Each set includes a variety of gold nanoparticles, fluorescent nanoparticles, and cellular samples, tailored for versatile application. The fluorescent dyes within these sets span the full spectrum, accommodating a wide range of laser lines ideal for both confocal and super-resolution STED microscopy.

Abberior Instruments GmbH, a spin-off from the Max Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen and the German Cancer Research Institute, Heidelberg, was founded by Dr. Gerald Donnert, Dr. Alexander Egner, Dr. Benjamin Harke, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan W. Hell (who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2014), Dr. Lars Kastrup, Dr. Matthias Reuss and Dr. Andreas Schönle in 2012.
